Sidekick Health

Sidekick Health — founded by two doctors with a mission to improve people's health through technology — combines gamification and behavioural economics into a digital health platform that supports patients across multiple therapeutic areas. As the platform expanded, so did the engineering challenge: build for scale, build for compliance, and keep shipping at pace.

Sidekick needed senior engineers who could embed into their teams quickly, maintain quality across multiple mobile products, and help the platform scale without compromising on the regulatory rigour healthcare demands.

To address challenges Sidekick had in their projects, our company provided a dedicated team of expert software developers. Engineers contributed to developing scalable, user-centered applications that integrate behavioural psychology and game mechanics to improve patient adherence and engagement.

The work spans Sidekick's four mobile applications: the core Sidekick app, Concierge Care (U.S.-focused), Meno! (menopause support), and Ypso (smart medication management, in collaboration with Ypsomed). The stack runs on Flutter, Swift, and Kotlin for native and cross-platform delivery, with Firebase, Bitrise, and Amplitude underpinning infrastructure, CI/CD, and product analytics.

Quality assurance and testing run alongside development as a core part of how we work — not an afterthought. In healthcare, that's not optional.

The engagement accelerated product development and time-to-market across the Sidekick portfolio. The platform scaled to support growing global users while maintaining regulatory compliance across multiple regions.
