Data-driven strategy and decision-making.
One governed set of numbers for the whole company, so the board, finance, and ops read the same figure and month-end stops being an argument.
Data-driven growth
The challenge
Every team has its own number
Finance, ops and the board each maintain their own spreadsheet, and each is defensible on its own terms. Month-end turns into reconciliation, decisions wait on someone rebuilding a report, and nobody is quite sure which figure to trust.
Our approach
Model it once, govern it properly
A single governed platform where each metric is defined in one place, with lineage you can follow back to the source and access control that satisfies an auditor. Then the numbers land in the tools where decisions actually get made.
Results
Reporting that runs itself
Arnarlax replaced manual, fragmented reporting with an automated Azure data platform that gives the whole business integrated insight — from production and feeding through to finance.
Our data solutions
What to build first — and what it costs. Priorities across products, data and AI, with a business case for each one. The output is a sequence you can fund and defend in front of a board, including the things we think are not worth building yet.
Dashboards people actually open, modelled on the call someone has to make on Monday morning — and retired when they stop being used. Underneath sits the unglamorous half of the job: pipelines, tests and lineage, so a number that looks wrong can be traced back to where it came from.
Credit risk to demand forecasting — statistics before hype, always measured against the baseline it is meant to beat. The analysis starts from a decision that has to be made, which usually calls for a far smaller set of figures than the one already being collected.

Selected work

Data
Arnarlax — Iceland's largest farmer and producer of Atlantic salmon
Source systems and data platform replaced at the same time, and the migration to Fabric staged so priority reporting never went dark — every migrated figure traceable to where it used to live.

AI & Data
Sýn — An AI-native data platform
Iceland's telco and media group replaced a legacy warehouse estate with a self-running Databricks lakehouse — AI on both sides of the platform, and roughly half the run-rate.

Microsoft Fabric vs Databricks: a high-level overview
A neutral comparison across the dimensions that actually decide it — use cases, skills, cost, AI, governance and CI/CD.
