Gaveia

One backend, four booking platforms, a coastline of inventory.

Four storefronts, one system of record

Gaveia runs four online booking platforms — Adria Camps, My Mobile Home, Villas Guide and Avtokamp — covering Croatian and Slovenian holiday properties, booked heavily by Polish, German and Italian travellers. Four brands, four audiences. But a holiday business lives or dies on one thing: whether the inventory, pricing and availability underneath are right, everywhere, at once.

That is the shape of this engagement. Moberg does not run the websites — we build and run the core business system they all stand on: the backend, the admin portals for property, sales and support, and now the AI that answers travellers directly.

Not a booking engine — a connective layer

The backend's job is to join several distinct internal systems into one coherent operation, and it has lately been extended with conversational AI that reads from all of them.

01

PropertyHub — the central property database

System of record

Every campsite and accommodation unit — location, availability, pricing, amenities — in one governed place. The admin portals and the chatbot both draw on it, so a traveller's answer and an agent's screen always agree.

02

CRM integration

Customers

Customer data and interaction history synced across the stack, so human agents and the chatbot alike can personalise a response and trigger what should follow it: an automated email, an alert to the sales team, a follow-up that actually follows up.

03

OfferBuilder — quotes on demand

Sales

The internal quote-generation system. The chatbot pulls from it to generate and suggest a personalised offer mid-conversation, which turns a question about availability into a bookable proposal.

04

Call-centre tooling with an AI front line

Support

The chatbot handles the routine accommodation questions, so support agents stop searching the database by hand for every query — while keeping full visibility into every conversation it has. AI does the lookup; people keep the relationship.

05

The internal knowledge base

Knowledge

Searchable by each team on its own terms: sales find contracts, partner terms and pricing; support find FAQs, known issues and past conversations; developers find technical documentation and code examples. One base, three audiences.

The system that carried sixfold growth

The proof of a core business system is what happens when demand actually arrives. Gaveia's arrived fast: 300% growth in 2021 over pre-pandemic 2019, then another 200% in 2022 — absorbed by the same backend, the same portals and the same team.

That is the quiet argument for owning your core system rather than renting it. Growth becomes a scaling exercise instead of a re-platforming, and the business spends a boom season selling holidays rather than migrating software.

What owning it buys the business

A fourth storefront is a marketing decision rather than an engineering project, because the inventory, the pricing and the customer history it needs already exist in one place. A new sales tool reads the same property data the website does. And when conversational AI became worth having, it could be pointed at systems that already knew the answers — which is why it arrived as an extension rather than a rebuild.

Gaveia brings a deep understanding of the travel market; we bring the engineering. The platforms keep moving forward year after year, season after season, without the business carrying the cost of a large in-house team to do it.

Key objectives

01

Hold every property, price and availability window in one governed place, so four storefronts never disagree with each other.

02

Give the sales, support and property teams the internal tools to run the business day to day.

03

Absorb growth — seasonal and year on year — as a scaling exercise rather than a re-platforming.

04

Put an AI front line on the routine traveller questions without taking people out of the relationship.

Sýn — An AI-native data platform

Iceland's telco and media group replaced a legacy warehouse estate with a self-running Databricks lakehouse — AI on both sides of the platform, and roughly half the run-rate.

Croatian telco — Accessible mobile app

Case study

Croatian telco — Accessible mobile app

A Croatian operator's self-service app, rebuilt in Flutter — one codebase across iOS and Android, designed to WCAG AA and tested with the screen readers people actually use.

Arnarlax — Iceland's largest farmer and producer of Atlantic salmon

Arnarlax — Iceland's largest farmer and producer of Atlantic salmon

Iceland's largest Atlantic salmon producer replaced its source systems and its data platform at once — migrated to Microsoft Fabric without the business losing a reporting week.
